- and the reason for not complaining about it.
Published on May 12, 2020 By Jan Oscar In WinCustomize Talk

I have given this some thoughts lately, since the matter seems to come up too often for the wrong reasons and I also admit to be one of the many seeing this the wrong way and for which I'm sorry. Try to think about it the next time you are shopping. You see a nice cake and the price is $10. It's not that nice, you tell the baker, but I'm willing to give you $5! Seriously? The point is there is no way you are in your right to decide the pricing for any merchandise or work in this world. That is for the artist, baker, craftsman or whoever is making you the possibility and offer to buy their product. You can argue about it, but that doesn't mean you are right or in your right to do so.

There are a LOT of free content here at Wincustomize/Stardock to satisfy most of their customers & visitors. If you don't like the price of a product you want, don't buy it. Spend your money elsewhere where you and the seller agree on the price - not a price decided only by your opinion.

Respect the artists right to get paid for their work.

You totally missed the point I was making to point at a company that is an absolute exception and not the rule.
I learned in business decades ago that prices are dictated by the market and what the consumer will pay.
The consumer pays for apple products *which btw speaks volumes for the intelligence of society in general.* But ya, exceptions don't change rules, thats why they are called exceptions.

BECAUSE THEY HAVE AND ARE TARGETED AT A SPECIFIC MARKET GENIUS!

I don't give a shit, I knew the post wouldn't be popular, but that doesn't make it wrong.
Go feel sorry for yourself cuz you don't like the truth and think people should keep it to themselves.
Sad. I couldn't care less what anyone thinks, BUT I WILL ALWAYS CALL A SPADE A SPADE and I've never been anywhere because I felt the need to cater to people feeling sorry for themselves. I was taught, again decades ago while learning to deal with decades of extreme violence at home that if I don't like something someone says, I BETTER go look in the mirror for why I don't like it!

Probably the first people to complain about our uptight world.

I mean the fact that people are using exceptions to try and support a flawed opinion speaks loud and clear for the intelligence around  here.
Thank you all for helping me decide without a doubt what I was contemplating!

So its been fun stardock. And this is goodbye, Time is too valuable to waste on blowing people who lie to themselves and make STUPID arguments based on exceptions so they can pretend they are right, instead of looking at the MILLIONS of rules that WENT OUT OF BUSINESS and no longer exist.

It is typically 'popular opinion' that determines right and wrong.

Once upon a time slavery was considered 'right'.  Eventually 'popular opinion' reformed.

Minority opinion, however, is alive and well, which is why white supremacists still exist as a 'thing'.

As for debating opinions, etc...I always think of an old quip....

If you keep your head, whilst all around you are losing theirs...you'll be the tallest person in the room...

Buy or don't buy. Quit being a drama queen about it.

Wow! This went sideways real bad. All was asked was opinion of whether or not buy premium content!

Nope....it all went sideways at comment 9.  The op wasn't asking a question at all.

Trollish comments never end well, hence the sideways...

Really? REALLY???? The content available to us here is simply MAGICAL and I can't believe anyone would complain that the price for any of it is too high. Are you serious? Have you considered how much time and effort goes into making these things? I don't know how much minimum wage is where you live, but the price of a premium skin works out to PENNIES an hour and not many pennies either. And so many THOUSANDS of other items are offered to you for FREE. The generosity of every contributor who offers an item here is both astounding and humbling. You are free to agree or disagree, and vote with your feet if you won't accept the prices, but your attitude and lack of respect is appalling. Don't let the door hit you on your way out.

That's the point...probably not.  I don't know of anyone who has ever made a Windowblinds skin and looked at the Master skin pricing and said "wow...that's too much", not once in all the years they have been offered...

Hello .Good day.The pricing can be upto the designer and how much he wants out of it,is his satisfaction. But smart seller goes by volume and not by fixed price. The pricing is fixed globally. My humble suggestion is the pricing can be varied(less or more) according to the economic conditions of the particular country . when the pricing is less in economically weak countries you can count profit by volume selling. So it is upto the decision of the maker or designer to fix different pricing if he want to be globally successful.

Kudos to all good designers and skinners.

-No it isn't, We can NOT change price individually for each and every different country on the planet.
